Clearwater proved to be a highlight of the trip as it provided a retreat and a continent place for family to visit.  Lee returned home on Christmas Eve after we decorated the boat for the holiday.  On Christmas day Allen discovered that the beach was desertion his early morning walk.        

The best Christmas present that he received was found when he found a float from a crab pot on his walk.  With glee he shouted this is one that won’t get me.

   Lee returned on New Years Eve where we celebrated at one of the local parties. 

Artistic statues of turtles were found in many of the establishments around town. 

Clearwater like many other cities have adopted a mascot and commissioned various groups to decorate turtles.

The turtles were placed through out town in various places.

Such as hotels.

Along the main street many interesting venders were showing their talents as this spray can painter is demonstrating. 

In March Mary Ann and Janice met us in Naples where we spent time walking the beach and  shelling.

We toured a nature center where Allen was the only brave one who would caress a Boa Constrictor.

When we returned to Clearwater Lee once again returned home while Mary Ann, Janice, and Allen explored the sights. 

Later in the month Allen Had the Chance to play Grandpa by entertaining his granddaughters who were on spring break.  It turned out that they entertained him by giving him lemon smiles and showing him how energetic teenagers can be.

But the good times came to an end over a serious game of golf when the girls tried to beat grandpa. 

Shopping also took up a lot of time as the girls spent much of their time purchasing shoes.

Boat repairs where a must as we our props were bent from hitting a shole.

Even though entertaining was the prime importance Allen stuck to his agenda and installed a new forward looking sonar.
